Two Poems
1 minute read
I Want to Weep
I want to weep
at least a little
each day to remember
I am human and
the Earth community’s
broken heart
is my heart --
then all paralyzing
despair washed away
in my weeping,
to ask what acts
of healing and compassion
our brokenhearted Earth
community calls forth
from me today.
Joy Lightly
Whatever it is
on this sacred and wounded Earth
that troubles your spirit,
hold it lightly.
Don't deny
or diminish it --
heartbreak, anguish, anger
become toxic when buried.
Embrace it
in the healing light of love;
hold it lightly.
Our lives are
made for joy.
Our first invitation
and our last
is to say, Yes!
So let us live
this life and the next
and the next and the next
contributing our joyous,
harmonious Yes
to the cosmic melody
of healing love
flowing through all.
