If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together. - Lilla Watson
If you are working in social impact, and feel called for a deeper reflection on the confluence of your outer work and your inner work, we invite you to join our upcoming pod.
Some of the questions we will hold in our circle: How does change happen? Is it possible to embrace the current realities of our global problems and yet remain hopeful? In wake of the urgent problems the world is facing, is 'slowing-down' irresponsible or is our impulse to "act fast" preventing us from root cause solutions? Is it possible to balance self-care with selflessness for greater good? How can we shift from zero-sum to regenerative models of social development? What is the role of money, media and markets in social change? What is the difference between responding from sympathy, empathy and compassion? and many more!
If these questions resonate, we invite you to join our Pod! Our volunteer crew for this pod, comprises seasoned “ladders” with diverse experiences in the development sector.
The Pod Process comes alive at the intersection of three intersecting spheres: (a) inspiring content: Pod will feature uniquely curated readings, practices, and case studies around our theme; (b) many-to-many context: via our innovative, non-commercial Pod Technology, Pod creates a multi-dimensional container to weave the whole beyond the sum of its parts; (c) skillful anchoring: volunteers holding this pod are well versed in the precious art of balancing leadership with 'laddership'.
If you are moved to explore these questions in such a context, with like-hearted friends globally, we invite you to join this co-creative experiment!
||November 14th: Orientation Call
We'll start with a virtual orientation call to connect all Pod participants and volunteers and to take you through the process of daily prompts and other pod details.
Time: 90 minutes (Nov 14, 2021, 7:30AM PST)
||November 15-20th: Diving Deep!
For these 6 days, all of us will get a daily email prompt with a "head" reading and a "hands" practice, and a "heart" reflection, curated by the volunteers. Everyone is expected to engage in the daily exercises and then submit our reflections, on a private feed. As you submit your responses, you'll also get to read other participant responses.
Time: Minimum 1 hour per day. This is self-regulated with plenty to scope to go deeper and spend more time. :)
November 21st: Closing Call
We'll host a virtual gathering to marinate our collective learnings, hear from couple guest speakers, and brainstorm on how we might support continue to support each other in this direction. Open to all who have completed prior prompts.
Time: 2 hours (Nov 21, 2021, 7:30AM PST)
||Pod Rooms (Optional)
Having completed Week 1 prompts and Group Call, in next days, participants can invite or join peer-driven discussion rooms in smaller groups to further build on, deepen and contextualize their insights.
