21-Day Mindful Technology Challenge
Starts Oct 4, 2021!
After a month of working in the Laddership Pod, Ruby Grad is excited to host a 21-day Mindful Technology Challenge pod room. This challenge came about as result of spending a day examining our relationship to both Artificial Intelligence and Awareness Intelligence, to the Internet and the Inner-Net.
Most of us were already spending hours with our devices, desk top or laptop computers, tablets, smartphones, etc., before we went on lockdown in March 2020. And the time spent on devices has only increased during the pandemic as we have found ourselves locked down and isolated, and spending a lot more time on Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, etc., as a way to stay connected with others. ServiceSpace Pods began as a result of the pandemic!
But how many of us have spent time contemplating and reflecting on our relationship to the technology and how we are spending the time we spend engaged with it? In this 21-Day Challenge, we will look at those relationships. What happens if we let go of our devices for a period of time? Can we stay mindful when we are engaged with them? What is the state of mind that we are in when using them? By having the opportunity to bring mindfulness awareness to how we engage with technology and our devices, we can start to bring wisdom to how, when and why we choose to spend that time engaged with technology and how, when, and why we choose not to.
How it works: For 21 days in a row, along with a community of people from around the world, we'll do practices related to our use of devices. Each day, you'll receive an email with a link to a suggested practice for the day. Do the practice and share about it on our daily feed. Then read and comment on others' reflections to build on the group experience and wisdom. We'll also have group calls to synthesize our learnings and experience as well.
To join, fill out the form below. As we get closer to the start date, you will receive a welcome email with more details.
