Join us for an impromptu dialogue between James O'dea and Nipun Mehta. Battling advanced stages of Parkinson's disease, he felt moved to share two particularly intense and spiritually relevant events that have ignited insight and deeply stirred those few who have heard it.
And we're opening it up to others who would like to hold space for the emergence.
You might remember James's riveting words on Ukraine, or his invocation, or his memorable conversation with Nipun last time -- but here's a bit more of his formal background ...
Both an activist and a mystic, James O'Dea is a former President of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, Washington office director of Amnesty International, and CEO of the Seva Foundation. He worked with the Middle East Council of Churches in Beirut during a time of war and massacre and lived in Turkey for five years during civil upheaval and coup d’etat. He has taught peacebuilding to students in 30 countries, and conducted frontline social healing dialogues around the world. A mentor of emerging leaders, James is an Honorary Fellow of the Laszlo New Paradigm Institute and author of several books, including The Conscious Activist, Cultivating Peace, Soul Awakening Practice (June 2017), and Creative Stress.
Nipun Mehta first met James in his mid-20s, when James encountered a magazine cover that featured his caricature. Although James never read the article, he felt an ancient connection -- and they have stayed friends since.
We invite you to join the call, to hold a meditative space for James to flow with the song that is present in his heart.
