Being the Change — The Power of the Heart in Uncertain Times

-- We are sorry, this event is fully booked --

Luminaries from 18 countries are gathering in Austria for a global AwaKin retreat, exploring how ancient wisdom meets modern suffering. To share the inspiration with the community, we are also convening for an evening of stories, stillness, music and much more! And you're invited!

How we move together matters

Picture this: Imagine a single starling, flying through twilight sky, aware only of its seven closest neighbors. Yet somehow, hundreds of thousands move as one breathing organism, creating patterns so complex they defy explanation. No leader. No plan. Just a shared field of awareness that transforms chaos into breathtaking coherence.

In Thailand's mangroves, fireflies synchronize their flashing across entire trees without a conductor. Beneath our feet, fungal networks share nutrients across forest floors, ensuring the weakest trees survive. Even our own cells practice "quorum sensing" -- a cellular democracy where bacteria communicate to ensure all systems thrive.

Nature whispers the same truth everywhere: Transformation doesn't require knowing the whole plan. It requires tuning into the intelligence of connection. How we move together matters.

Old systems are revealing their limits. Political landscapes fracture. Social fabric frays. Climate signals distress. We've tried fixing from the outside—new tech, new policies, new structures. But what if Einstein was right? We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking that created them.

Join us for an evening where global voices and local hearts converge to explore the power of embodying the change. Through stories, silence, music, and the kind of conversations that make your soul lean in, we'll create our own murmuration—a living experiment in collective coherence.

Stories, Inspiration, Music … and much more

We are deeply honored to welcome a constellation of remarkable guests ... hosted by local hosts like Martin Kirchner (Pioneers of Change), Bettina Ludwig, Marie Ringler (Ashoka), Moriz Piffl (Vollpension), Claudia Garuti and many others.

(Please note: the program is still being developed.)

Collectively, we'll hold questions like: How do we lead with heart intelligence when algorithms optimize for outrage? Can seven meaningful connections really shift entire systems? What grows when we meet crisis with presence instead of panic? How do inner revolutions become outer transformations? What does "awakening together" mean in practice, not theory?

This evening costs nothing but asks everything—your presence, your curiosity, your willingness to be surprised. It's gifted by volunteer hands and hearts who believe another world isn't just possible but already emerging through our connections. However, space is limited, so registration is required to join.

Join us, as we flow between the intimate and the infinite, the personal and the planetary, creating a field where new possibilities aren't just imagined but embodied. As Noble Laureate, Ilya Prigogine notes, "When a complex system is far from equilibrium, small islands of coherence in a sea of chaos have the capacity to shift the entire system to a higher order."
