About This Event

Can AI help us create many-to-many networks of noble friendship?

The arc of noble friendship is vast. And its design is nuanced.

  • Soil: how do we prepare the conditions for people to come together meaningfully, without agenda?
  • Seed: how do we connect the "we" part of me with the "we" part of you — and keep the "me" interested long enough for the value of we's connecting to become apparent?
  • Water: how do we nurture that relationship so it continues to regenerate?
  • Wind: how do we renounce the outcome, trusting the web of deep data to carry seeds far beyond the reach of our tools?

We think Metta Circles can help — with the soil, the seed, and the water. The wind, we leave to the field.

Here's how it works. Every pod interaction flows into a technical grab where relationships lead. Instead of joining tables, we traverse: Person → reflected on → Theme ← reflected on ← Person. That makes questions like "who are the bridge people connecting the Gandhi pod community to the Rumi pod community?" not just possible, but fast. An agentic AI layer sits on top, so a facilitator can say "create circles mixing resonance and edge from last month's pod" and the agent interprets intent, computes pairwise scores, balances the groupings, and proposes — with rationale for each. Then it disappears. Humans lead with their wisdom.

On this call, we'll walk you through a graph, run some live queries, show how the five formation modes (resonance, edge, serendipity, alumni, bridge) serve each stage of the arc, and demo the Metta Circle workflow end to end.

If you're curious about what "empty cans for the heart" looks like as an engineering problem — RSVP below and you'll be emailed the details.
