Reflection Day
You made it Day 6! This weekend marks a transition from Self to Systems. As we ready for Sunday's Group Call, let's take the day to honor the space between the notes, to tune into our greater melody.
Among all the explorations in our expansive first week together -- Inner Voice, External Impact, Reciprocity, Wealth -- an incredible repository of stories, life experience, insight, ideas and wisdom have surfaced across the "living curriculum" of each other. Is there a subtler through-line peering from our subconscious, awaiting our curious gaze? What patterns of collective wisdom are surfacing across our pod now? Today, we tune into our inner and inter-connections, to digest all that we've taken in -- by exploring each other’s reflections.
Start with Holly Near's song for pioneers like you! The song starts with this anecdote: "A cellist in Sarajevo went out in the square, when the bombs were dropping, and started playing his cello. Someone from the press said to him, 'Why are you out her playing the cello when the bombs are exploding?' And he said, 'Why are they dropping the bombs when I'm playing the cello?'"
Our prompt today is to read through podmates' reflections on inner voice, stories, change, wealth and reciprocity and add some comments.
As a practice, allow serendipity to be your effortless algorithm that decides what to read, where to pause, when to add a heart or a comment, where to add a heart or comment, and where to pause and bless silently. Take a look at the podmate profile and intuit the person behind the text. What are they feeling? What do they value? How do I relate, and how could my words support this person’s journey? Trust in the comments that arise from your heart, even if they seem imperfect. And use the same open awareness and curiosity when you receive comments from others. If conditions allow, you can even carry on a dialogue back and forth. Today, we engage the living prompt of each other.
