Gandhi Today Pod

Starts Jan 30, 2026!

Everyone knows about Gandhi the leader. His life has been documented and analyzed in every which way, across thousands of books and scholarly articles and commentaries.  Yet, underneath the endless debates around his projects, practices, and comments stands a critical organizing principle that guided all his "experiments with truth": sustainable outer change is predicated on inner change.

"We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme."

In today's world of compounding catastrophes, what is the relevance of inner transformation led designs?

: What does swaraj mean today when algorithms have hacked our attention, and bots have replaced our intelligence?

: If Ahimsa never meant simply an absense of violence, what does it mean to channel creative love in a society where our interconnections have been numbed by hyper-transactionalism?

: In an age of material abundance, how do we reinterpret Gandhi's talisman of Sarvodaya to include "the poorest and the weakest"?

: When activism gets reduced to fighting for a bigger hammer, what's today's salt? What's today charkha? What's the vows and practices that can build soul force? How do we build not critical-mass, but critical-conditions for a movement of the heart?

Commemorating Gandhi's death anniversary, we  invite you to this unique 1-week journey of head-hands-heart to rekindle these ancient principles "as old as the hills" in modern context

We will also be joined by couple of remarkable guest speakers -- past guests include Michael Nagler, Rajni Bakshi and Kazuya Ishii who are Gandhian scholars, social change luminaries and love warriors.
