Laddership
Starts Feb 11, 2024!
Laddership Pods are a global peer-learning lab for values-driven changemakers. Over three weeks, participants immerse in an online “head-hands-heart” journey in the nuances of leading with transformation, gift ecology design thinking, and incubating an offering of service.
Together, we hold uncommon questions: How do we design for a more compassionate world? Can we innovate regenerative solutions that aren't fueled by the forces of money, power and fame? How does inner transformation affect our external impact, and when do individual acts harmonize with a collective “law of love”? Where traditional project incubators support their entrepreneurs in becoming sustainable through material capital, here, we collectively engage nonmaterial, intrinsically motivated and vastly untapped dimensions of value creation, along a living journey of “generosity entrepreneurship”.
Guest speakers from our last Laddership Pod include Victor Koo, who co-founded one of China's leading internet portals and went from search engines to inner search, Sister Marilyn Lacey, who's spent 56 years as a nun serving refugee communities worldwide; Hang Mai, a farmer from Vietnam who translates nature's wisdom to social permaculture; Randall Amster, director of Georgetown University's Program on Justice and Peace; and Sandar Tideman, who spent 20 years dialoguing with Dalai Lama and converting that into a framework for entrepreneurs!
Here's an overview of how this particular "living lab" will unfold, and the general three-week journey, along with examples of pioneering guests and mentors from past Laddership Pods:
HOW IT WORKS: Every day, you’ll receive a uniquely curated prompt with 'head' content, 'hands' practice, and 'heart' reflection questions to engage. Each week explores a unique meta-theme: “me” (aligning with your values), “we” (designing for synergy), and “us” (igniting a collective flow). Everyone submits reflections daily, and then reads and comments on each other's submissions to build a dialogue. Each week, starting with an orientation on March 5th, join live zoom calls to synthesize our learnings and hear from inspiring guest speakers! For more of a flavor, read about our original pilot experiment with podmates from 25 countries: Alchemy of Uncertainty.
If this resonates, and you can commit 10 hours a week or more, we invite you to join our learning journey. Simply submit the application below and the Pod Volunteer Crew will get back to you with more details.
In keeping with ServiceSpace values of gift, all our Pods are run by volunteers and offered entirely as a labor of love.
