Moved By Love
Starts Sep 16, 2022!
All wisdom traditions point to compassion as a foundational human virtue. Contemporary science also proves that caring for others is our most fundamental instinct. We are wired to care. It is a regenerative force that elevates us and others. As Dalai Lama eloquently says, "If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion."
Yet, our modern culture and systems bias us towards accumulation over generosity and isolation over connection. So how do we rekindle that native force of compassion within each of us? How do we go beyond “helping” and “fixing”, and tap into the spirit of “service”?
As we connect deeper with that spirit of compassion within us, how does that transform us? How does it change the way we look at each other and our relationships? How does it affect the quality of our organizing and impact? In today's world dominated by money, power and fame, how can we manifest the eternal “Law of Love”?
At MovedByLove, a project of Servicespace, we have been experimenting with these questions over last ten years. We have hosted over a hundred retreats which has deeply held and informed the journeys of thousands directly and many more indirectly.

Throughout our time together, we will meet local everyday heroes, dive deep into the challenges of practicing selflessness in today's culture, and engage in many group practices that nurture our inner transformation.
All 'Moved By Love' retreats are hosted entirely by volunteers who are past retreat attendees. It is an expression of gratitude for all the value they have received in these retreats, and hence offered without any price-tags. At the end of the retreat, everyone is invited to pay-forward with multiple forms of capital, whatever they're moved to offer for future participants. To facilitate deeper connections, we limit most of our retreats to 30 participants -- and we give priority to project initiators who are anchoring local projects in their communities. If you have any questions, please contact us anytime.
Thank you for helping co-create such agenda-less gatherings over the last decade. We look forward to coming together in the sacred field of our shared values of outer-service and inner-transformation.
