Take a bow -- you've made it over halfway through the Laddership Pod! To celebrate, we're convening for a spirited
Week 2 Reunion call this Sunday, with two very special guests!
This week, we're
engaging a lot of rich and nuanced themes along the realm of "We" in the nuances of group synergy -- from
community (alone to all-one) to
reciprocity (transaction to trust),
motivations (extrinsic/intrinsic) to
service (sympathy, empathy, compassion) to
creative love (boundaries to bridges)! Collectively, the remarkable stories and awe-inspiring responses are spilling forth into remarkable group emergence. While our intent isn't to arrive at conclusive answers, we hope that our exposure to each other can help refine the questions we ask and nuance the hypotheses that guide our actions and work in the world.
To cap our second week, you're invited to
join a 90-minute virtual call with podmates. This is an opportunity to wave at each other, hear each other's live insights, interact, and explore our collective field of inquiry. We're also thrilled to be joined by two inspirations in leading with collective synergy:
Hang Mai and
Sander Tideman!
Hang Mai is a woman who truly
walks her talk, a spirited community-builder, and fearless "ladder" behind many transformation-led possibilities. Her
journey spans law school to innovative business to social enterprises, to permaculture farming in Vietnam. After a decade working with multinational corporations, she was propelled on an inner journey, discovering the power of observing her mind. In 2009, she
founded Xanh Shop, delivering farm produce to urban populations. Channeling her
passions towards a local economy and experiments in generosity, she transparently shared her financial ledgers with everyone, telling the farmers: "This is the value-add we're providing. But if you do this yourself, you can make more money." Along the way, she found “the only way to reach the farmers is to become a farmer" -- so she became one! Translating and popularizing "Father of Permaculture" Masanobu Fukuoka's
One Straw Revolution across Vietnam, today, she and her husband live in a house they built completely from recycled or discarded materials, tirelessly tilling the soils of community transformation.
Sander Tideman is an author, social entrepreneur, meditation teacher, outdoors enthusiast, and thought-leader in sustainable change leadership. After 20 years in dialogues with the Dalai Lama -- as well as with other leaders in business, government, science, and education -- he culminated insights into
one of his many books. With an early career in law and international finance working across three continents, Sander's work has engaged UNDP, The World Bank, Google, Unilever, MasterCard, and HSBC. As his inner journey deepened, he co-founded Spirit in Business, Global Leaders Academy, served as CEO of Mind and Life Europe, executive director of Garrison Institute International, and is founding director at Triple Value Leadership. Today, based in Netherlands, he dedicates his time and energy to help businesses and organizations transform into forces for positive sustainable change that work with, rather than against, the principles of nature and human creativity.
With all that, and more, in store -- we can't wait to circle up together on Sunday!
