One-day Retreat: Soil, Soul, and Society for a Happier World
On April 22nd, Earth Day, a community of change-makers are coming together for a day-long retreat on "Soil, Soul and Society" -- a theme that Satish Kumar often speaks about.  We hope to explore questions like:

Soil: if our global economy mandates 3% annual growth, which is unsustainable, what systems will allow us to create alternatives that honor our inter-connection with nature?

Soul: if our unhappiness levels rise with social media addiction, and simply being around our devices makes us dumber, what practices will help us cultivate inner transformation?

Society: when 3 out of 4 of us believe in pro-social values, yet 3 out of 4 believe that others don't care, it points to a tragic problem in our collective narrative. What is the new story and how do we embrace it?

The full day retreat, from 9:30AM to 5PM, will engage "hands, head and heart". We will open and close with silent meditations, engage in a circle of sharing to tap into collective wisdom, do some hands-on activities and small group brainstorms to dream up new possibilities, and tune into group emergence around next steps after the retreat.

We are also delighted that Nipun Mehta, founder of ServiceSpace, will be among us for the full day.

As with all ServiceSpace retreats, this event is put on by volunteers and is co-created with each participant's engagement. There is no fee to attend, but if you are moved to volunteer with set-up, food prep or clean-up, please email phanlinhchi@hotmail.com

To preserve a sense of intimacy, we are limiting the retreat to the first 40 RSVPs. To attend, simply RSVP below and you'll be emailed the logistical details.
