Awakin Circle (Pune) with Global Friends!

Awakin Circles bring together small groups of people in living rooms around the world. It started when three friends got together in an ordinary living room -- to sit in silence together, share personal aha-moments and have a meal together.  It was rooted in a simple principle: when you change within, the world changes. More than 26 years later, such circles have now organically rippled to 80+ cities around the globe, including Pune.

On Saturday, January 6th, we're delighted to host a circle in Pune, with a few deeply inspiring global friends -- and we look forward to co-creating a space of silence and stories together!

Flow for our time together:

5:30pm - Get together, followed by 30 minutes of meditation

6:30pm - Stories and inspiration from Preeta, Pavithra, Nipun (followed by circle Q&A) around this beautiful parable Remembering Our Song ...

Reflection questions: How do you relate to the notion of a "noble friend" being someone who knows your song and sings it to you when you have forgotten it? Can you share a personal story of a time someone reminded you of your song? What helps you see beyond the mistakes of others and connect with their song instead?

8:00pm -- Dinner, hugs, and smiles!

We are especially delighted to have three inspiring guests among us ...

Preeta Bansal has served more than 25 years in some of the most senior posts in the public and private sectors – from the White House and the U.S. Supreme Court, to US diplomatic and human rights work, to the top echelons of state government and global corporations and law firms. A constitutional lawyer and an architect of social systems and governance frameworks, she advised on the drafting of the constitutions of Iraq and Afghanistan. After a long career scaling the heights of external and institutional power, she has spent much of the last decade deeply plumbing depths of "being" for finding the intersection of love and power. She is a regular meditator, avid volunteer of ServiceSpace, board chair of United Religions Initiative, and speaks about topics ranging from  inner work of democracy to leading with relationships to re-imagining scale.

Pavithra Sundareshan started Vindhya InfoTech in Bangalore at the age of 22 years old when she employed people with disabilities. Since then, she has hired -- and transformed -- thousands of staff, whether physically challenged, hearing or visually impaired, socially disadvantaged women, or on the autism spectrum, to create a pioneering ecosystem of compassion and kindness. She has come to realize that “the only disability in life is bad attitude.” Many moons ago, since she first learned sign language to communicate with some of her hearing-impaired employees, sign language has become the official language of the company.

Nipun Mehta has been a "full time volunteer" since he quit his first job at the age of 25. Initially, he embarked on a small experiment called ServiceSpace, to integrate inner transformation and outer service; much to his surprise, though, the ripples spread world-wide and even received appreciation from the likes of Dalai Lama and President Obama. Many moons later, he continues to play boldly -- whether it is with the most cutting-edge AI innovations or a profound walking pilgrimage across India with practically nothing. Still, his life's mission statement stays rather simple: "Bring smiles in the world and stillness in my heart."

We look forward to sharing a contemplative space of reflection, and planting seeds for co-creating more goodness in the world. To join, simply RSVP below. Please note that space is limited, so we'll notify you by email if we're able to include you.
